Meaning of தெரி

II. v. i. be seen or perceived, தோன்று; 2. be known, be clear and plain, விளங்கு. Note: used only in neuter with the dative of person; the thing known stands in the nominative case and the person known in the accusative case (as in இந்த வழி உனக்குத் தெரியுமா, do you know this way? என்னை உனக்குத் தெரியுமா, do you know me?).

ஒரு கப்பல் தெரிகிறது, a ship appears.
